Watercolour is a magical material, incomparable in its complexity, in the world of art. Choosing a watercolour, the artist challenges himself, and only after some time comes the moment of friendship and unity with the material.
My acquaintance with watercolour began in 2017, and to this day, I still learn this unique technique and spectacular material.
The most exciting work I get is when I relax and do not expect any results. I just let watercolors live my life and try to act in tune with it. Now I'm just at this stage of communication)). I am sure that more than one year will pass before confidently saying that I have conquered watercolor. But today, the watercolor conquered me with its lightness and plasticity, uniqueness, and amazing, incomparable effects that this material gives.
My first watercolours were in the glazing technique. Working in this technique makes it easier to control the watercolour, and, of course, it is easier to get precisely the result that was planned. Working layer by layer is a kind of meditation for me to create volume from a transparent and light material. This technique allows you to relax if you know which side to approach the work.
A la prima is a kind of challenge for an artist. It is difficult to predict the result when working wet on wet. Can observe the general plan of work only nominally. The rest I always give to the power of the material. This is how I get my magic heaven. The paint itself finds a solution, and I just have to provide it with the right direction. This is such a friendship. ))
I always look for the plots of my works in the surrounding world, in natural beauty, and in cities that I often visit when traveling. Working in my studio after another trip, I try to transfer to paper, first of all, emotions. The same feelings that I felt, being in harmony with nature.
Nature is an endless source of inspiration. I gladly enjoy the wonderful world that surrounds me every day and starting a new job, I hope to convey at least a small part of the energy that the world is so generously sharing with me.
